    While upgrading synaptic, I got an error...now when I try to run yumi or Synaptic from terminal root, I get a segmentation fault.

    What is this and how do I repair it?

    What error did you get? The safest way is uninstall it and then install it again. See if the problem insists.

    Seems to be a problem with the 2.8 kernel, as when I try the same actions under the 2.7 kernel, everything works fine.
