installing madwifi drivers
Im pretty new to linux so bare with me. Im trying to install the madwifi driver for my netgear wg511t card on a compaq presario 2100 laptop. Im using rh9 with the 2.4.20-6 kernel. I've been trying for days to make it work but there I could not find another thread that has my error. When I try to run "make" for the madwifi driver this is what i get:
[root@localhost madwifi]# make
for i in ./ath_hal ./net80211 ./ath; do \
(cd $i; make) || exit 1; \
make: Entering directory `/usr/src/madwifi/ath_hal'
make: execvp: uudecode: Not a directory
make: *** [hal.o] Error 127
make: Leaving directory `/usr/src/madwifi/ath_hal'
make: *** [all] Error 1
Ive seen instances where sharutils is not installed and causes an error with uudecode, but it is installed in this case. Please help.
