I just installed Red Hat Linux 9. Iím completely new to the Linux operating system and was wondering which are the MP3 and DVD players and where can I download them from? Also I find that there might be 10 different RPM files available to download, so how do I know which one to choose? I have an Athlon Processor.

I use xmms and beep to listen to MP3. Note: xmms might need xmms-mp3 plugin. For DVD watching, both Xine and Mplayer are good, I personally use Xine all the time. Finding rpm for your system:

    www.freshrpms.net
    www.rpmfind.net

or you might try out sourceforge.net, some projects apply rpm package also.
