    recovering original bash profile


    i had problem,my bash profile has been changed and no commands are working and things are not recognizable can any one tell how to revert it back to correctly working condition.

    Try renaming it to something else and allow a new one to be created. Don't delete it in case you need to refer to it in future. Alternatively you can copy one from another user who is functioning properly.

    Easiest way is to copy one from /etc/skel.
