    [SOLVED] Thunderbird in Fed 9

    I've just upgraded from Fed 7 to Fed 9 (Devil's Casper's advice).
All seems to be OK except that Thunderbird refuses to upgrade, and will not open.

rpm -qa | grep thunder shows thunderbird-2.0.014-1.fc7

The notice of updates pending says Thunderbird for fc9 is available, but keeps coming back after each successful download.
    Can anyone help please?

    su -
    yum remove thunderbird
    yum install thunderbird

    Thunderbird in Fed 9

    Uninstall - reinstall worked!
    Devils Casper many thanks.
I suppose when you think about it, it's no different from what you do in Windows when a program misbehaves.
    Anyway, again many thanks.

There are a very few packages that misbehave. Otherwise Package Managers do a good job.

    Enjoy Linux !
