    Unhappy How to install Firefox3.0.1 in Redhat EL 4

    I am new to Linux iam working on RHEL 4, I want my default browser as firefox 3.0.1, i searched up to my extent, i found solutions but they all are upgrading from firefox 2.0 to firefox3.0.1, the thing is i dont have firefox 2.0 at all in my RHEL 4.

    So plz help me how to install and make as default browser as firefox 3.0.1

    just in terminal
    # yum -y install firefox<version and extension of firefox>
    remember you should be su for this

    That will not work since RHEL does not include Firefox 3+ in their repositories.

    Check out this article for details on using a newer version of Firefox and/or Thunderbird.

    I tried with ur command but it saying command not found and i read some where that it is not posible to install firefox 3.0 in RHEL 4 , Is this true if not how to do so

    Is there any way to install any version of firefox in RHEL 4.

    just download pdf document linux for dummies and read browser section in I am sure that it'll solve your problem for this type "For.Dummies.Linux.For.Dummies.7th.Edition.May.200 6.pdf" in google search and have a joy ride plz contact for further inquiry send msg to for faster response.
