    chkconfig --add

    I'm trying to make the appropriate soft links on my Red Hat ES 4 system. Currently, I have a file under /etc/init.d:
    Code:
    #!/bin/sh
    # chkconfig: 345 10 10
    # description: testing

    echo "hello"
    Unfortunately, I keep getting this error:
    Code:
    [root@redhat init.d]# !chk
    chkconfig --add file
    service file does not support chkconfig
    Can anyone point out what I'm doing wrong?

    The word file needs to be changed to whatever you called your script in /etc/init.d
