    problem in firefox???

    Hi all,

I am using firefox and fedora 9.
It appears that firefox on linux is not behaving as the firefox in windows.

For example when i log in to my hotmail account it does not recognise it as a firefox browser and asks for a confirmation in order to allow me to continue to my inbox.

Additionally lots of pages are not displayed correctly on linix firefox for example:
    Euro transports - online ???????
    or
Olympic Airlines S.A. (the blue box on the left)

    Opera works perfect.
Do we know why is this happening and why not under windows?

    Many thanks in advance.

For me, Firefox works the same on Linux, BSD and Windows. If you are having problems with the Fedora firefox builds, have you tried using the official builds from mozilla.com?

Yes i did tried but the result is the same.

    Have you tried the links?

I just tried on a different machine in ubuntu and the problem is there as well
    (except the hotmail login).

Unfortunately I am at work and we aren't allowed to run Firefox. I will try the links later on, when I have access to my laptop.

    Are they rendered correctly?

Especially in the euro transports link the white box which includes the form is displaced.
Have you tested the Linux version of Firefox. The one that is shipped with the fedora?

    Many thanks in advance.

I'm using openSUSE 11. The Euro Transports page is not rendered correctly, but that could be because the site is not coded correctly. The olympic airlines site is fine.
