I am new to linux. I have Fedora version 6. It detects the presence of a wireless network (My Modem) and establishes a connection. The DHCP server assigns the IP address and information about the DNS server is also recieved. I am able to access my modem by using the local IP address 192.168.1.1, but am not able to connect to the internet. Please Help!

I did the following tests...

ifconfig :

From these i can understand that my computer is indeed connecting to the internet. But i dont understand why i am not able to access the repositories or browse using the browser (mozilla). Whenever i attempt to visit a website, the browser attempts to connect for sometime and finally says "network time out".
