I am having problems editing the command line and geting my DT-12 Multisystems Fedora Core 2 unit to boot into a single user. I've read some info about the command and attempted to edit with no success.

MAIN PROBLEM: I get a blurry image you can see the mouse but nothing else, I've read the service manual that comes with the SComputer and it says the X-windows will crash the system if you dont boot up in single user mode.

1. I boot up the system and get a screen that reads
GNU GRUB version 0.94 ( 635k/1014656k upper memory)
with a selection of Fedora Core ( 2.6.5-1.35

2. So I click on it and press E

3. Screen two comes up with options:

root (hd0,0)

Kernel / vmlinuz- 2.6.5-1.358 ro root=label=/rhgb quiet

initrd / initrd- 2.6.5-1.358.img

4. I follow the steps listed on my manual which run like this:
a.wait for the countdown to finish
b. Type a and then press return
c.when system is at a prompt , run the following command:
find/lib/modules/`uname -r` -name radeon.ko \ -exec rm -f `{}` \;
d. type ctrl-d to resume normal boot

I follow these steps but since I'm new to linux and the command line I keep reading more about it and seriously 4 hours of troubleshooting get tedious. Could someone post some helpful information so i can get my system up and running.

Thank you,
