SATA disk not recognised
Hi Forum,
We have a Linux Server running ClarkConnect 4.1 based on RedHat 4. hdc disk is 120gb an has some bad sectors.
We tried to install a 200gb hdd and the system did not recognise same. We now have a SATA 250gb from Western Digital and would like ideas on how we can get this to be recognised.
In Port Moresby, there are no smaller discs available and we are told to wait 3 weeks for a 120gb.
Trust someone can help
Regards,
Bill

Try passing all-ide-generic option to kernel.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
