    You can use the system-config-securitylevel tool for that.

    You just start a terminal and enter the command above.

    Use the same tool as above. If you click on the advanced option, you should get an option to add your own ports.

    How do i update the existing kernel 2.18.XX to 2.20.XX ?
    is that any effect after upgrade the kernel version?

    just as an afterthought, daark.child mentioned the tool for configuring the firewall, but if you are looking to shut it off completely (everything gets through, no ports are blocked) then as root you can just type
    # chkconfig iptables off
    or for IPv6
    # chkconfig ip6tables off

    this works for any service / daemon, just replace the iptables (firewall) with whatever the service is called. You can do it how daark.child said, but i just find this way easier, and if your wanting to learn I figured I'd mention other options.
