trouble with ethernet with foxconn g31mx

    hi,

i'm new to linux, so I want some advice.
Recently, I installed CentOS 5.2 on my machine.
but the OS didn't recognize eth0. It said,

    "Determining IP configuration ... failed"

I did lspci command, then Realtek lan controller was there.
so I think the kernel has a driver for the hardware eth0.

    what can be the problem??

    -------------
    CPU : Cereron 1.8GHz
    Motherboard : Foxconn G31MX
    -------------

    thanx,
    Shotaro
