    Black Screen

Black screen. Fedora 9 new install by new bee. I installed Fedora 9, and got the computer to dual boot. Everything worked until I used a system tool to set the monitor to my HP w1907. It said to log out and restart X. The screen went black when I logged out. Now when I start Fedora I only get a black screen. How do I get Fedora to talk to the monitor again?

Restart to runlevel 3 and use "system-config-display" to configure the monitor.

Black Screen on HP w1907 monitor

I found the problem. The HP w1907 monitor has a VGA input and a DVI input. I ran the Windoz OS on the VGA input cable with the DVI cable unplugged. I plugged in the DVI cable, booted into Linux and now I have a high resolution Fedora 9 install working properly in graphics mode. I can now boot Fedora 9, Windoz XP or Vista64.

That ainít bad work for a 64 year old dude.
