    Bash programming beginner.showing"permission denied"

I am a very beginner and very interested in bash programming. I am using fedora core 8 and in terminal, i typed:

    echo "hello world"

It works properly. But I did the same in 'vi editor' and saved as 'hello'. I typed:

    ./hello

    Then an error messege shows:

    permission denied.
    Can I fix the problem?
    Thanks

    Permissions

Change the file permissions to chmod 700

    Code:
    chmod 700 Hello
    ./Hello

    chmod 700 means..

    4 is for read permission
    2 is for write permission
    1 is for execute permission

you had given execute permission for the user for that file by that command.
