HOWTO: Catch-all Mailbox

Hello All,

I will start by admitting straight away that I am a complete N00b when it comes to Linux in any flavour so please bear with me if my request below is stupidly simple.

I have just started with a company and found out that most of the emails they use are hosted on a dedicated server from a company called fasthosts.co.uk

I am led to believe that the Operating System on this dedicated server is a flavour of Fedora.

I can use Putty to connect via SSH and sucesfuly login to [admin@localhost ~]$

I can also login to the Fasthost provided interface, though this interface is incapable (already asked fasthosts support) of creating a catch-all mailbox.

So I kindly ask the community how I would go about creating a catch-all mailbox on my dedicated server while mainting the existing POP mailboxes that are already there.

If it is of any use there are a number of domains hosted on this server, and it is no problem for me to have all mail to all domains going into a single mailbox.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and if you require any further info to assist me please dont hesitate to ask.

I doubt very much that they're using Fedora's native mail capabilities and more than likely are using a script on top of the OS to manage the server duties. I would check the headers of any emails you have to see what's delivering them. If it's QMail(it often is), then you can use the wiki to help you find out what you might need to do.

That being said, you would need root access to modify qmail's settings.
