a production machine which is running in red hat 7.3.

in which the database is very slow, that is for executing a simple query takes more time, while investigating found that there may be some mismatch between the OS and hardware...

while issuing top, it is showing that that the kjournald is in uninterruptable sleep. the hdd is new and good.. ( so i think it may be problem with kjournald )..

i wanted help in optimizing kjournald, that is fine tuning kjournald.

correct me if some thing is wrong in the above, or ask me if you want more clarification...
