Are external card readers supported? When I plug in my USB card reader, nothing happens. No light on the reader, nothing. How can I go about mounting this thing?...

OK, I think the card reader is being mounted automatically, but I cannot access the data on it. When I run KDiskFree, I have a new device listed: "/dev/sda1" with a mount point of "/mnt/flash". When I attempt to view the contents of /mnt/flash, it appears to be empty when I know there are files on the card. Ideas?

It's sounds like you haven't mounted it yet.
To mount the drive, enter "mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/flash"
in a terminal, or if there's an entry for it in fstab, than you can
    just enter "mount /dev/sda1"
