help with writing shell scripts
i am very much new to using linux. I somehow managed to get ImageMagick running on linux. Now i have to write a program that will point to a picture, turn it black and white (monochrome), then will select a small part of it and will be able to draw a graph for that small part based on the intensity of pixels. I want to be able to determine from that graph what was the value of the most and the least intense pixel on a scale of 0 to 255
only problem is i have only used some C, thats it. Can anyone help me write this program in shell script or maybe point me to a site that explains how to do image processing using shell script please??
Simple people ...simple words please
