ndiswrapper on scientific linux
I hope this is the right place to post this - I believe Scientific Linux (SL) is based upon Red Hat...
My problem is this: I have installed SL 5.2. Getting it online seems to be very difficult. To get Ubuntu online I have to install ndiswrapper (from the CD) and then point it to my network card drivers (from USB key)- job done.
With SL, it doesnt seem to let me install _anything_ from the DVD.. When I download a file from the internet using a different machine and copy it across I can run the file, but then it _still_ tries to find remote repositories and when it finds none - fails...
Can anyone help?
