    Hi,

    Try stopping services that are not necessary during boot time using "chkconfig" command which will reduce the time for your linux box to boot.

    If you do not require cups daemon to start, use the following command:

    chkconfig cups off

    Depending what kind of computer it is, there are certain services you could turn off to reduce boot-time. But remember that a server requires services that a desktop machine doesn't use.
