    Hi,

    Can anyone help me out on this?
    Why do I just get a grey desktop in my Linux VNC Server?

    I have 4 servers running RH Linux AS 2.1
    2 of the servers are ok which means I can see what is exactly on my server in my client & the other 2, I just get grey desktop with a terminal screen.

    Copy and paste this in your ~/.vnc/xstartup file

    Code:
    #!/bin/sh

    [ -r $HOME/.Xresources ] && xrdb $HOME/.Xresources
    xsetroot -solid grey
    xterm -geometry 80x24+10+10 -ls -title "$VNCDESKTOP Desktop" &
    startkde &
    That should start KDE up for you.[/code]
