    unable to connet phpnyadmin in centOS


    hi all,this is the error i am getting....

    Check mysql server is running, if not please start the mysql server

    I hate to disagree with another forum member, but this will not solve your problem. If phpMyAdmin isn't working, then you will see no response. If MySQL isn't working you'll see a phpMyAdmin error screen.

    Things to check:

    - That Apache is running
    - That PHP is enabled and installed on your web server machine
    - That Apache's permissions allow access to the phpMyAdmin directories
    - That your firewall isn't preventing access to port 80 on the web machine
    - That SELinux isn't throwing errors into your logs about file permissions
