    httpd.conf file deleted

    Hi dears;
    I have deleted /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf file .Please tell me how can i got conf file.I installed new version of httpd-2.0.47 but there error that there is not httpd.conf file.Should I create this file then tell me how.
    please reply me soonest you can

    Very sorry to inform you that there is no chance to recover the deleted file or create a new httpd.conf file is not possible.

    you can do like this....

    if you installed the rpm package then by using the commands

    find the https version ----- rpm -q httpd*
    erase the rpm ------- rpm -e httpd* or rpm -e httpd*or --nodeps
    Again install the httpd*......rpm from the Linux cds
    rpm -ivh httpd*......rpm
    Now you will get the new httpd.conf file

    or you can download and compile the whole package.......httpd......tar.gz by using commands ./compile,make,make install....

    try it like this......
