Configure graphical interface after installation in text mode (fedroa 9)

i have fujitsu siemns amilo pro 3515

i have downloaded fedora 9 i386 dvd

when i install it in normal mode it does not run although i have 448 mb ram

so i run the text mode

after the installation and in boot the system it run in a text mode and what appers is

localhost login :
password:

i login as root and enter my password then this appears

[root&localhos ~]#

HOW CAN I CONFIGURE GRAPHICAL INTERFACE????

i have tried system-config-display
i got a very pooooooooor resolution and mouse can not be seen and moving it does not affect and it looks like computer freeze

i tried also system-config-display --reconfig --set-resolution 1024*768 --set-depth 16

and simple change happend but still pooor resolution and computer freeze
