I think i over wrote windows while installing FC2

I made a new partion with PM8 and rebooted with an FC2 disk and procceded to install it. after installition it rebooted to the GRUB bootloader and showed FC2 and my recovery drive which was a Fat32 filesystem, i almost passed out, i was frantic so i hit the recovery partion which started the XP recovery and then rebooted and now there is a flashing cursor type thing in when i start the computer.

My question is this: Did it overwrite XP or did GRUB just not show XP to begin with?

    No

    it is a bug.

    Try these to fix.
    Code:
    su-
    sfdisk -d /dev/hda | sfdisk --no-reread -H255 /dev/hda
( sfdisk may require --force )

i cant, the recovery partition killed FC2, and now when i try to install FC2 it says something about not obtaitning partions or something and that if i procced it will delete all data from my HDD. at least i have a warranty on my computer and im not ready to let go of windows so ill take it in and see what they say.
