I recently installed linux redhat 9.0 to my laptop,unfortunately when i connect the flash memory i don't see any icon representing it on the desktop...please help...

    Linux won't recognize my flash memory


    I recently installed linux redhat 9.0 to my laptop,unfortunately when i connect the flash memory i don't see any icon representing it on the desktop...please help

    ok
    right-click on the desktop, and hover your mouse over disks and then when a sub-menu appears, click on flash. or go to a terminal and type
    Code:
    mount /mnt/flash
    that should work.

    I tried what u just mentioned but flash didn't appear only cd-rom and floppy...i tried the code u gave me it replied with "cant find..."...any more thoughts...

    thnaks anyways...
