    installing fedora / base os-windows xp


    hi.
    i have windows xp loaded on one of the hard disk drives. i want to install fedora on another drive in the same hard disk. i am new to linux. please help. will it get the master boot record of xp so that i can choose which os to boot?
    please reply.

    Don't worry about dual boot setup. Fedora installer will detect Windows XP and install in its boot loader (GRUB). You will have choice to boot up either distro at startup.

    Back up data before installing Fedora and select correct partition in Partitioning Section during installation.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
