    You don't have to only try Fedora. There are many different Linux distributions. Some of the most popular are:

    Fedora 10
    Ubuntu 8.10
    openSUSE 11.1
    Debian

    There are many, many others. Most of them have a LiveCD version, so that you can try it without actually installing it.

    Whatever version you use, always try to get the newest version.
