Installing CentOS on Dell Vostro 220?

I'm looking into buying a Dell Vostro 220 (on sale now) with the intent of installing CentOS 4 (or perhaps RHEL 4) on it.

Googling the issue has resulted in very few results - which I interpret to mean that there aren't any problems. I'm not sure, though if I'm being overly optimistic.

Does anyone know of any issues with installing either of these linux distributions on the Vostro 220?

I don't own one, so I don't know about possible issues.
You can try CentOS 5, it has a newer kernel which gives it better hardware support.

In fact, the latest version of CentOS is 5.2.

If you are using it as a server, then CentOS is great. If you are going to use it as a desktop PC, you may be disappointed. It may be difficult to get things like wireless and playing multimedia files working.

    Not impossible, just difficult.
