    Port Forwarding

Does anyone here know some good resources for port forwarding on linux? I have never done this even on a windows machine, so I really do not know the first thing about it. If someone could help me change the port my torrent client runs through so i can get the FC10 and maybe Debian or something I would be greatful. [i am running FC9] I would like to learn how to do this anyway if only to simply learn how to do more.

    Any ideas guys?

You can port forward with iptables, see this tutorial.

If you're running a router, you'll need to forward the specified port(s) to you machine. There should be a table in your router for port forwarding and some directions there on how to do it. If you just need ports opened on your FC box, there is a utility to make it easy. Open a terminal and as su do:
    Code:
    system-config-firewall
You'll see something like this. Follow the directions on this page to get you set up.
