    How do I instal aim? I followed the instructions but its all too cinfusing. I'm using linux for python right now.

    i'm pretty sure that fedora core comes with Gaim (an aim client) pre-installed on it. Open up a shell, and type
    Code:
    gaim &
    or if that doesn't work, you can easily install gaim:
    Code:
    yum install gaim
    you can also go to aim.com and follow the links there to the linux download page. There they have several RPMs you can download

    Or gaim.sf.net. Gaim is a much better client than the AOL client. Granted I've never used AIM for Linux, but I'm still confident to say that. AIM was written for Windows and gaim was ported to Windows. Gaim runs better on Windows than AIM does.
