    Question [SOLVED] Updating Fedora 9 fails

    Hello all,

    I have logged in as the root user, and trying to updating my Fedora 9 with the latest bug fixes and updates. I goto the menu System and click on option System Update. The 'Update system' window comes up, and displays the number of updates, bug fixes to be updated. I click on the 'Update now' button. Nothing happens. I click the same button a number of times, but still nothing happens.

    What could have gone wrong here?

    I find the command line to work better for this. If you open up a terminal when you're logged in as your normal user just execute this:

    su
yum update
