Instal without any GUI (X windows?)

    Hello all.

I want to install a command line only Linux. I like Fedora and wanted to use that distro. But when I go through the F9 setup and disable all graphical things I dont want (apps, X Windows, gnome...) The installer halts at an exception.

How do I install Fedora to have only the command line and all the tools I need (parted, ftp, shell stuff etc.) This will be my base OS on my system that I will use as the main boot loader for any other OSes. It will also be my mine OS for workhorse type stuff that can be done easily in the command line.

How big will the installation likely be? I was thinking it should definitely be under 128MB right? Really justs want the power of the shells and a few apps (and the ability to add apps)

    Thanks guys,
    Buckiller

Could you post exact error message here?

I would suggest you to go for Debian NetInstall. You will have base system only.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Where do the error messages usually save? I can duplicate it and retrieve it from the partition I was trying to install on.
