    hi is it possible to update my tom tom sat nav i need to be able to update my speed cameras and map share + satellite positions like you can in windows using Tom Tom Home

    well thank you all for your help as a complete newbie to linux and in particular linpus from all the views on any other forum about any other subject i would have had atleast one reply even if it was no

    If people don't know how to help you they can't. It appears that no one is using a Tom-Tom Satnav with Linux...on this board anyway. There are close to 200,000 members on these forums. I wouldn't expect you to speak for all of them, nor should you expect anyone else to by answering "no".

    If you have Windows software for it the obvious choice is to try and run it under Wine which should be installable through Yum. Other than that you may be able to manually put the data on the device, if it's just an updated file.
