still i m not able to find ifconfig .. any idea ???

    hi folks,

after logging in as root (using "su -", i am still getting the "command not found" error.

when i did "locate ifconfig", i could find /usr/share/zsh/4.2.0/functions/_ifconfig and few man entries for same.

i cd-ed to /sbin directory and did a "ls -lrt ifconfig" and nothing turned up. seems like it has been deleted.

is there a way to install the package with re-installing the rh linux ??

    any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm using Fedora. It's rumored to be similar to Redhat. ifconfig is part of the nettools package so try yum install net-tools.
