Webserver that uses Redhat - Installing XBTT

I have shared hosting on a server that uses Redhat. The company is Westhost. I'm trying to get xbtt to run, which is a torrent tracker. It uses subversion, and boost. I have subversion installed, now I need boost fully installed. I think I'm about half way, however, when I try to run this string:

    Code:
    bjam --build-dir=/tmp/build-boost --toolset=gcc stage
    I get this error message:

    Code:
bjam: /lib/tls/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.4' not found (required by bjam)
So I'm told GCC is just out of date. Well, I'm not very good with linux, so updating that has become impossible for me. Can anyone lend a hand? I posted this problem of installing xbtt on the westhost forums, which can be located here if anyone needs more clarification on where I'm at.

Also I'm not sure if this is the right spot, so if it's not, feel free to move it.
