    Exclamation first boot problem with fedora 10 please help

    heyy first off i want to point out that im a total noob to the whole linux thing. i have linux fedora 10 installed but when it told me to reboot after it finished i did and the whole first boot thing was supposed to happen but all i got was the loading bar. it loaded all the way up and then did nothing and theconfiguration wizard that is suppossed to come up after that doesnt come up. i hope you understand my problem and someone is able to help me. thanks

    Hmm, Had this problem 2;
    Is this the one where the White bar goes all the way to the end of the screen then nothing happens. I just installed fedora 9 then ran these commands:
    Code:
    #yum -y update
    Install software updates
    Code:
    #yum install preupgrade
    Install the preupgrade software
    Code:
    #preupgrade
    Run preupgrade
    (Might need to b logged in as root
    Now just follow the wizard and install fedora 10

    yea see that the problem im a noooooob lol dont know how the whole commands thing works or where to type them in and i dont know how to log in as root?

    Hi and Welcome !

    Press Alt+Ctrl+F1 at loading bar screen. Does it drop you at command line mode?
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
