Hi and Welcome !
Which version of RedHat are you using and which env variable's value you want to edit?
Check /etc/profile and ~/.bashrc files.It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Which Env variable you want to edit? Have you checked files I suggested in last post?
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
