    Fedora 9 and huawei 220

    I'm using fedora 9. want to get connected to internet using huawei 220 modem. downloaded a software called wvdial. Do not know how to install and use it. tried but failed. I am very new to linux. please help.

    Make sure you have the latest version of a package called NetworkManager installed and started from your Gnome or KDE desktop. Plug in the device and you should get a new option on the network manager widget to connect to GPRS system. You dont need wvdial. I use a Huwei device to do this in the UK, and I never needed any additional tools in to do this in Fedora 9 or 10.
