Hi and Welcome !
Which Graphics Card do you have?
Post output of this
Code:su - lspci | grep -i vga grep -i driver /etc/X11/xorg.conf
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

ME TOO - ME TOO - I had my hand up FIRST!
I am having similar problems w/ F10 on a Sony Vaio laptop that SHOULD run GUI at 1024x768, but the only options in the GUI display config are std vga & 800x600. Output of lspci as devils casper wants is:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corp 82815 Chipset Graphics Controller (CGC) (rev 11)
I've TRIED to ferret this out by scoping similar posts, which have made reference to xorg.conf editing, adding a 3rd option for "1024x768" but - I DON'T _HAVE_ any xorg.conf nor is there a "system-config-display" executable. WHERE in BLAZES does this config hide? Where does one have to go to force a re-config?
I've struggled w/ vs after vs of Fedora (and several other distros) seeking something that would work for both the vid screen AND my WiFi. NEVER can I seem to get the LATTER to work, and now (as of Fed9 & Fed10) the X setup is broken.
Since M$ squeezed out the Vista kludge in a direction of NEGATIVE progress (if one considers plug-n-play interoperability an indicator) it would be NICE to see Fedora of Freespire or Ubuntu step up to the plate - but NO -- I've spent hours - DAYS -- WEEKS struggling w/ these two simple issues, only to chuck them, every time, and go back to my Windoze to get ANY WORK DONE!
SO disappointing! Then - there's Fedora 11 live - won't even RUN on my laptop!
Anyway, step one: how can I config the display to use ALL of my screen - 800x600 is not even worth running! Then perhaps I can direct my att'n to the usual killer: WiFi don't work....
Any clues, anyone?
Thanx
pw
