    Arrow Problem connect XP machine with linux server

    Hi Guys,
    I am new in Linux. I am trying to login to Linux server (version 9) from XP machine.
    I configure smb.conf file and add this XP machine to Linux server.
    After successful adding XP machine to Linux server I can not login to Linux. I try as root with smbpasswd . I can ping XP from Linux
    It gives me following Error
    “Windows can not connect to the domain or unviable etc…..”
    Any comments.

    Are both machines in the same workgroup? There is a line in smb.conf that sets the WORKGROUP.
