    try edit /etc/issue file.

    I edited the /etc/issue and I found that when logging in in CLI mode I could see the message. Thank you.

    But what is the difference between the message and the banner?

    I don't know what's meaning of banner?
    in command line. where is one message about server version.
    another message is server name..

    Hi I tried to edit /etc/issue and even though I was logged in as root it denied me permission. What am I doing wrong? Please help
