Redhat EL4 - Add printer to CUPS with commandline (to print to PS or text files)

I'm trying to do the following:

    - Print to a postscript file or a text file with CUPS.

My main goal is to create a PDF document from a text based POS system that outputs text. The problem is that the program adds random blank pages which I'd like to remove before I convert to PDF.

So I need to add a new printer to CUPS on the commandline. I can add a normal printer to CUPS but I have no idea how to add one for Postscript file or text file.

I've added Cups-PDF and it works great except that I can't remove the pages (I need to find them first).

-Add a printer to CUPS that prints to either Postscript or to a text file with the commandline.

    Unhappy

If I'm in the wrong forum please direct me to the right one. I haven't been able to find an answer to this and I've been searching for weeks.

The cups.org forum doesn't allow me to log in anymore, it just goes back to the log in screen.

    Please help!
