how to set-up firewall in redhat

hi im an it student and a newbie in linux OS.
We have this final project that we have to set-up
a firewall in a linux redhat OS which i totally have no idea ..
i did some research but have'nt found the right one.

I was hoping if someone could help me.
Step-by-step instruction would be the best
but if you have something else that would be helpful
    i would really appreciate it.
btw i think we are using redhat v5+.

    Thank you guys.
