Problem browsing shares
Hello Everyone,
I recently ditched my Fedora 8 install for Fedora 10. Since then, I've had a problem browsing samba shares on other machines. I use Gnome. When I hit alt+f2 and enter something like "smb://fileserver/" I get the following error:
Could not open location 'smb://fileserver/'
No application is registered as handling this file
The strange thing is, everything works if I specify the share, such as: smb://fileserver/share1/. I've tried disabling selinux, poking holes in my firewall, but nothing has changed. I thought maybe it was a bug in the "live cd install" version of fedora so I downloaded the dvd installer and did a fresh install. No change. I stumped the folks at fedoraforums, can anyone here help?
