    Cool network problem

    hi i have one red hat linux 4 installed on server.everything was working fine till 2-3 days back but when i restarted the server for basic hygine i m not able to ping the gateway IP also not able to ping this server from other server.Please note that this server is still able to ping some of other server in same network.

    Hi,
    Check whether firewall is enabled.May be Using iptables Ping may be disabled.

    linux server access

    The iptables ping is enable and thing is even not able to access that server also.If i put laptop on same network i m able to access the laptop with same ip
