I am trying to install RPM package bootp-2.4.3-7.i386.rpm,
i am getting error like
error : failed dependencies
inetd is needed by boot 2.4.3-7.
please get me out of this problem....

Which version of RedHat/Fedora are you using? Does your machine has internet access?It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Its a bit tough to install packages without internet access. You will face a lot dependency problems and have to download/install every dependent package first. Search for inted rpm and install it before installing bootp.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
