Hi All,
I am trying to install fedora 10 on my machine, initially i had installed fedora 9, but it got corrupted so now i am trying to install fedora 10, while installing it from my dvd i encountered the following error:

please append a correct "root=" boot option
here are the available partition:
kernel panic-not syncing :VFS:unable to mount root fs on unknown block (253,0)


I have checked the iso image on my sytem has same sha1 hash as it was on the server. Also, i dont understand why in the above message partitions on the hard disk was not detected (see the line just above 'kernel panic ...').

Please let me know how can i fix this problem. I have searched a lot in google but unable to get any answer that works.
