I have a remote user installing Redhat ES 4.5. After the install I can only connect to this server for about 30 minutes using ssh. Is this a symptom that the user has not registered Redhat?

It shouldn't be and isn't as far as I am aware. Are you using it when it disconnects or are you leaving it idle? There is a timeout on inactive connections.

Sorry I should have been more descriptive. Idle time and inactivity are not the issue at this time.
An ssh connection times out when initiating the connection. A reboot allows me to connect for about 30 minutes

Can you get a copy of the logs from the remote server, might be something in there that would give you a hint as to where to look next.

I don't know if starting your ssh session with more verbose settings would shed any light, bit it may do ( ssh -vvv )
